Inside Look at Superbowl 44 Back To Sports

It's been a long 43 year road for the New Orleans Saints, but now the Black and Gold can truly say that they have made it; and the Who Dat nation is on board for the ride.  With the 31-28 victory in last week's game against the Vikings, the Saints secured their spot against one of the NFL's other great offenses; and now is the time for the Saints to focus and get their game plan in motion to lead the charge and secure victory for Superbowl 44.
In the days leading to the Superbowl we have seen everything from Hollywood Celebrities such as Adam Sandler and David Spade, to rapper Snoop Dog, to comedian Chris Rock.  But that is not all of the sights at this event.  Media analysts and fans alike had their chance to ask the tough questions to the coaching staff of both teams and to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
With the uncertainty wrapped around the salary caps and possible labor disputes in the coming year.; Goodell commented that there needs to be productivity in dealing with these situation and went on to say that the NFL is "trying to get an agreement as soon as we possibly can".  But that is not the only thing plaguing the NFL, Goodell discussed the reconstructed season stating that "the quality of our preseason is not up to NFL standards and that we need to fix."  With an improvement in quality this gives each fan a better value for the dollars they will spend.
The conversation was not totally focused on the disputes in the NFL, one such question came pertaining to the NFL channel and local viewing.  As you will recall the Saturday game between the Saints and the Cowboys was held exclusively on that network and only available to satellite subscribers.  "We are working on that issue daily", says Goodell concerning bringing the NFL network to local cable providers, "we're going to do everything we can to make sure they [the fans] get it".
It looks like better days are ahead for the NFL, but it will be a game of wait and see until the season finally pans out.  More from the Superbowl in my later posts.  Justin Toney reporting from Miami.
