JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

A naked man was throwing rocks at cars on I-10 near Jennings around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, authorities said.

Brian K. Petry, 37, of Youngsville, was under the influence of PCP and "out of control," said Chief Deputy Chris Ivey, Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office spokesman.

When deputies arrived to a report of a naked man throwing rocks, Petry was walking eastbound on the service road.

Once Petry was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of a patrol unit, he kicked the door, damaging the door and kicking the rear passenger window out, Ivey said. Deputies and Jennings police officers placed Petry in leg irons and strapped him down to transport him to the parish jail.

Petry fought with jail personnel as they tried to place him in restraints, Ivey said. He was transported to the Jennings American Legion hospital for treatment, then returned to the parish jail.

Petry is charged with disturbing the peace by intoxication, simple criminal damage to property, battery of a police officer, drug possession and battery of a correctional facility employee. No bond has been set.
