DEQUINCY, LA (KPLC) -

A man and woman were arrested following a barricade incident at a home on Beech Street Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Darren R Bradshaw, 28, was arrested on the charges of illlegal possession of stolen things (a firearm), possession of a firearm by convicted felon, illegal carry and discharge of a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm and Kodi L Cline, 25, was arrested on the charges illlegal possession of stolen things (a firearm) and possession of a firearm by convicted felon

DeQuincy police responded to a call of shots fired at 7:09 a.m., Capt. Tom Threet said.

DeQuincy Primary School was placed on lockdown out of precaution, said Holly Holland, Calcasieu Parish School Board spokeswoman. The lockdown has since been lifted.

Threet said that neighbors reported hearing several shots fired at the home. When officers arrived, they heard screaming from the home.

When the people inside the home would not come out, power was cut, Threet said. Bradshaw and Cline eventually came out without incident before 9 a.m.

A stolen firearm was recovered, Threet said.
