SHREVEPORT, LA (AP) -

Three people were held at gunpoint as a masked man robbed a Shreveport cell phone store Monday morning.

And surveillance cameras captured the tense moments that led to shots being fired.

Video released by the business shows the moment 19-year-old Mahmood Saleh realized they're being robbed. The robber points a gun directly all three of them as he demands cell phones and accessories.

The robbery happened just after 11 a.m. Monday at West 70th Street at Union Avenue in the city's Cedar Grove neighborhood.

Shots were fired at the gunman as he fled Meemo's Wireless & More in the 800 block of West 70th.

Saleh, a brother and sister-in-law were inside his family's cell phone store this morning.

"I was just, you know, sweeping up the floors when the guy came in and pointed a gun at me and said give me everything or I'll kill you," Saleh said.

"It's not like a normal handgun, it was like a yellow camouflage. I've never seen one like it before," Saleh added.

Saleh said he was the one who put the phones in a bag for the robber. Once the items were handed over, employees said they chased the gunman out of the store.

"I was about to give him some more phones, and that's when he ran out," Saleh said.

"So that's when my brother ran outside after him, to see where he was going, then he fired at my brother. And that's when my brother fired back."

It is not yet known whether the robber was hit.

At least one bullet hole was found in the outside wall of the store. It is not yet clear whether that came from the robber's gun or the one fired by the store owner's brother.

Ali Ali, a brother of the store's owner, said the business is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.

"This needs to stop," Ali said. "Very messed up. We live in a day where you gotta rob to live instead of getting a job."
