The search for the next McNeese State University president is coming down to the wire.
Four semifinalists met with various groups around campus on Monday.
Sessions began around 8 a.m. in four venues across campus to allow faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community to ask the candidates questions and to discuss topics of interest with each group.
Each semifinalist was given an hour and fifteen minutes with each group, who were then were asked to fill out comment cards to be shared with members of the search committee.
The committee will choose from the following candidates: Current SOWELA Chancellor Neil Aspinwall, current McNeese Accounting Professor Darrell Burkel, current McNeese Provost Jeanne Daboval and Former President of Fort Hayes State University Mirta Martin.
All have different ideas and goals for the university.
Each candidate will have a search committee interview beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Stokes Auditorium. It's open to the entire community.
This leaves the committee with a big decision to be made during an open session at 5 p.m.Tuesday.
