Roanoke man arrested after dog stolen for second time

JEFF DAVIS PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A Roanoke man was arrested after the same dog was stolen twice in a month, authorities said.

John Courtland Simon, 19, was arrested on the charges of theft of animals and criminal trespassing on Thursday.

"Once again John Simon was identified from surveillance camera video at the residence from where the dog was taken," said Cmdr. Ramby Cormier, of the Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office said 

John Courtland Simon was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish jail on no bond.

Jwon Simon,18, was also arrested on April 12 on the charges of obstruction of justice and resisting an officer. He was booked into the parish jail on a $1,000 bond.

The dog has been recovered.
