LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The Cumulus Broadcasting 29th annual Easter Candy Hunt took place at Bord du Lac Park by the Civic Center on Friday at 10 a.m.

The free event featured thousands of Elmer's chocolate candy for children participating in the hunt.

"Seeing the excitement of the kids' faces as they have a free-for-all over all the Elmer's chocolate candy makes all the hard work that the entire Cumulus team puts together totally worth it, year after year," said D.J. Kaye with Cumulus. "It is truly a satisfying family event."

Those who attended got to meet radio personalities from KYKZ, Rock 101, 979 Nash Icon and others.

The Easter Bunny also handed out LEGO toy sets to the children.
