The all-clear has been given at Entergy's Nelson plant in Westlake, state police said.
Sgt. James Anderson said officials at the Entergy plant located a suspicious package shortly after noon today. An evacuation order was given at about 12:25 p.m.
State police and other authorities (Calcasieu Sheriff's Office, FBI and ATF) investigating used a robot to check out the device. It was rendered safe at about 3 p.m.
There were no injuries and an investigation into the device continues.
KPLC reporter Randall Kamm reported that the suspicious package was found in a warehouse.
